SPRING 2019 AD CAMPAIGN

A fresh-faced trio featuring Kaia Gerber, Adut Akech and Anok Yai star in Fendi’s Spring 2019 campaign — which takes us into the Karl Lagerfeld studio, for what would be the creative director and photographers’ final campaign shoot.

Art direction for the campaign drew inspiration from Fendi’s iconic structural headquarters located in Rome. And the collections’ overriding femininity factor, along with its exotic textures and diverse shapes and silhouettes, create an elegant yet bold campaign feel.. one very much in-line with the brand’s overall heritage.

Karl was very much inspired by our stairs at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome. It’s like a mini version of the beautiful stairs, a kind of metaphysical idea of that.
